At Difficult Times
Dreams Arise, Shift and Change
by Anne Scott
The spirit of our dream life is like the natural world that moves, changes, and fluctuates according to the seasons and cycles of nature. When we ignore the forces of nature, we become cut off from this potent aspect of life. During times of difficulty, however, dreams burst through our complacency, trying to reconnect us with what is essential and showing us a different way of living from our wholeness.
When I was first learning to work with
and value dreams, my dreams came as messengers, to heal
and guide me.
Dream
I am shown a circle with a dot in the center,
and am told
that this dot is love. And, if I can be this love,
the problems in my family will fall away.
I am suddenly inside the dot in the center of the circle.
Waves upon waves pour through my entire body,
filling me with love.
I learned to hold the energy of love, rather than dissipating it by focusing on my problems. It became a daily practice, while cooking, walking, or driving to town. I now knew that a love like this existed, whether or not I could feel it in the midst of difficulties. When I reverted to dwelling on my difficulties, a dream would come to turn my attention again towards love. When one can catch hold of the feeling of love in a dream,
it becomes easier during the day to live from this
transforming source.

"When I speak of women reclaiming their power, I try to stress that it is their power, since I am convinced that the very concept of women’s power is different from that of men. Women’s power is the power to foster new life and growth.
If more people would understand how this life-giving power differs from power over others, the world would be a more peaceful, healthy, and sane place. In this vein, Anne Scott’s Women, Wisdom and Dreams plays a vital role in
empowering women."
