I have had several near death experiences, I have had requests from the dead to give messages to people that they have left behind, I have given several of these messages to people, this information I never knew, and have been told that only the deceased person would know this information. My question is, is there any one that can help me to understand this better, and how to personally take care of my mental health, Yes, I have been to doctors, I am not crazy...so they tell me, they call it a gift...can you help me to understand this? — J.E.C., Maine

Dear Friend,

To be able to bridge barriers of consciousness between life and afterlife is indeed a gift, one which our society as a whole does not readily acknowledge. What a blessing to know that you are not crazy! Your understanding is already aimed in the right direction. Now you simply need specific guidance about what you're experiencing and why. It's as if you've wandered into a new country and want a map that shows you landmarks, pathways, and the goal of your journey.

These teachings are not always easy to come by in institutional churches and temples, but they are well known in indigenous shamans' teachings. Shamans are masterful navigators between various realms, including life and afterlife. If you do not personally know a shaman -- few people do! – we highly recommend that you get in touch with our friends at Dream Change Coalition: www.dreamchange.org. You can write to them as you did to us and ask to be steered towards someone who can help. Here's some initial contact information:
