Dear Brother David, I just wanted to thank you for your openess about your depression, as I suffer with it and am looking to a non-medicated lifestyle. It is very difficult, but not impossible. Your simple suggestions for exercise, etc. are excellent I would like to add HALT, Hungry, Angry Lonely, and Tired. If I have any one of those I must take care of it immediately, or I sink only further into the despair. I wish I could take credit for this wonderful acronym, but it comes from Alcoholics Anonomyous. — Jeanne, Reno, Nevada

+Dear Jeanne, thank you for your warm words of understanding. During depression, the H.A.L.T. acronym helps to focus our attention immediately on the area of most need – good nourishment, emotional clarity, companionship, or rest – simple medicine which carries us a long way towards healing.

Blessings,

Your Brother David
