Current active projects of A Network for Grateful Living:

Brother David's Audio Archives

We have an audio collection of 500+ hours of Brother David's talks and lectures. They span several decades and cover a variety of subjects such as: gratefulness, common sense, interfaith dialogue, prayer, and poetry. Through generous donations, friends and benefactors have enabled us to preserve these valuable audio records by digitizing and transferring them to a long-lasting optical medium.

Our next goal is to make Brother David's talks available to a global audience via the website. Developing audio-streaming capacity and editing the audio tracks will take significant resources. If you'd like to contribute to this goal or if you have questions and suggestions please contact us.

Brother David's Written Word Archives

Henri J.M. Nouwen writes, “Brother David not only offers stimulating ideas and good theories, but he also creates the climate in which these ideas and theories can be received without fear and then explored in the heart.” By and large, the treasures of Brother David’s published articles, interviews, and book segments have been committed only to paper. We are now digitizing them, and you will find a steady stream appearing on this page.

Their diverse subjects – Contemplative Community, Nature’s Faithfulness, The Price of Peace, Learning to Die, Poetic Intuition, Work and Leisure, Belonging to the Universe, and Gratitude as the Root of a Common Religious Language, to name a few – reflect Brother David’s breadth of mind and spirit. This venture requires contractual help, and we deeply appreciate contributions to insure the project’s continuation.
