Harvesting the Past Gratefully

Welcome to this brief practice session. Its goal is to help you increase your gratefulness – one specific aspect of it: Gratefulness for the past. As we grow older, we come up against diminishments of various kinds: less energy, less mobility of the joints, less quick recall of names, less this and that. But in one respect, we are constantly increasing: Day by day, we have more of a past. Did you ever realize that the past is something to be grateful for? It is indeed, because your past is like a thick photo album; every time you page through it, you can find something you have never carefully looked at before.
