Oh, what a delight the sense of taste is! The first cup of tea in the morning, a tomato warm from the garden, and let's not forget eggplant parmigiana... When everything else in life is being a problem we can still rejoice in the gift and joy of tastes.

For the 5th time in my life I have spent a week of fasting (according to Dr.Mayer, living on dry bread and milk twice a day, chewing everything carefully). After that you feel so happy, empty and clean and you are ready to change your eating habits for better. The simplest food tastes as if tasted for the first time - a sliced carrot, steamed, with just a little butter and a potato - what a treat! So simple and so rewarding.

I am a firm believer that whatever I truly love, loves me back. Among the things that I love most.... FOOD :) :) :) :) :) :)...................... I think that food is AWESOME !!!!! Every single bite that I eat is pure heaven to my body, mind and spirit. If anyone has ever seen Snoopy when it's his "supper time" then you'll understand how I feel :) :) I find it sad that so many people deny themselves the full pleasure of eating for countless reasons, instead of allowing themselves the gift of enjoying every single morsel. I was once one of those people until I decided to be generous to me by allowing instead of denying myself all the wonderfully delicious, delectible food we have available. I'm happy, my body is too!!! THREE CHEERS FOR ALL FOOD !!!!! YUMMM.....

One really wonderful taste is fresh organically-grown green beans from a local health-food store. The complexity and depth of the taste was almost indescribable....I tell people it is even nore pleasureable than the best imported gourmet chocolate! Really! Then there are locally-grown dry-farmed organic tomatoes......a symphony for your mouth! The taste is the real essence of tomatoes....... You can tell that these foods had been grown with love and skill, and had been given what they needed. mmmmmmmm

The cramping, almost painful sensation of biting into a super-tart Granny Smith apple. There's also a different quality to the tatse of an apple eaten out of doors rather than indoors...something in the fresh air, methinks. Peace & All Good,

I went with friends to dig potatoes at a potato farm, came home, and then scrubbed a "big baker". That was my lunch......a big, baked potato with butter, salt & pepper. It was so fresh from the earth and it tasted right up there with fine dining.

The taste of fresh baked Italian bread that my Dad and I used to go to the bakery daily for while visiting my aunt in Italy. Nothing like fresh Italian break baked with love.

I love the taste of the Aloe plant. I break off a leaf and chew on it for hours. Not only is it refreshing, but it has healing powers as well. Such a juicy, tasty plant! The honey tree! Ah the sweet gifts of mother earth!

About 10 years ago, I was able to hike through the Grand Canyon with a group from my workplace, funded by a Grant. We were able to spend 2 days offtrail, hiking through wilderness. Our water bottles ran low, and the creek we depended on to refill from was gone, dried up in the early Spring drought. That evening, we camped in a side canyon with a small trickle of potable water. Never, never has water tasted sweeter. Nectar of life.
