Blackberry shortcake! We had it for dessert last night, and the flavor of the fresh (okay, they were frozen, but they were fantastic!) blackberries was so vibrant, so REAL, so fresh! Also, I give thanks for good ole' Bisquick for making it so easy for me to whomp up a batch of biscuits in a minute . . .

A large butter popcorn and a box of chocolate covered raisins at my favorite movie theater on a Saturday afternoon. Somehow being at the movies actually makes these taste better!

Steamer clams - prepared by my father-in-law, for the four of us. Bowls of broth to dunk, followed by melted butter. All of us sitting around the kitchen table in their apt. in the Bronx, over 40 yrs. ago. Heaven...
