i'm grateful for cinnamon, not only because it tastes so good, but it helps as an all natural way to control the sugar level in my body.

I am truly grateful to my boyfriend who took the time to make some homemade blueberry jam :) My absolute favourite !!!! We picked blueberries by hand last summer on a blueberry farm, not too far from where we live. We froze them on a cookie sheet, then we placed them in an air tight plastic bag so that we could enjoy them throughout the year. All I can say is THANK YOU SWEETIE :) :) :) The jam is heaven sent xoxox... ps. A big THANK YOU to Mother Earth also xoxoxox...........

howard, i have actually been using cinnamon and sugar to help me squash all the cravings for sweets. i put it in my coffee and tea and have it instead of a candy bar. i have been putting chocolate soy milk over my icecream...so delicous!

One other thing, the cinammon toast experience. For me, childhood's best in life might have been the damned white sugar, the damned white bread and the damn cheap margarine (always melted) with cinnamon which I hope was real as a treat I kept hidden from my parents. In fact, it might have been my first addiction, now that I think of it. I still love the stuff, share it with the grandchildren and though I try healthy bread, healthy margarine and keep the sugar down I worry that I might be passing something not only not so healthy, but a social taboo to beat! Enjoy! Enjoy! Enjoy! For me, I have now taken a break and one day it at a time!

a little milk, or even lightly with water, gently poured over ice cream creates these delightful crunchy crystals that for me add a wonderful texture to the ice cream experience. I particularly like coffe over coffee ice-cream. I am surprised how few others I have shared ice-cream with ever had done it.

Hi aok, new england, Thanks for letting me know! I´ll be thinking of you gratefully when I need comfort the next time and make myself some cinnamon toast "for comfort"! And you´ll do the same, wont´you?
- Juliana, Austria   6 Apr 2007

hi juliana, to make cinnamon toast just sprinkle on some with some sugar...and it's so yummy!
- aok, new england   6 Apr 2007

Every time I read this message I wonder how you make cinnamon toast. We don´t know it over here - do you just sprinkle cinnamon on toast, or is there more to it? I´d like to make some "for comfort"! :-)

Cinnamon toast for comfort, hot chocolate during the winter months, fresh blueberries in the summer! How much I love food! The bitter, yet so satisfying taste of coffee in the morning. Apple pie! I could go on and on with this topic :)

Oh, what a delight the sense of taste is! The first cup of tea in the morning, a tomato warm from the garden, and let's not forget eggplant parmigiana... When everything else in life is being a problem we can still rejoice in the gift and joy of tastes.

For the 5th time in my life I have spent a week of fasting (according to Dr.Mayer, living on dry bread and milk twice a day, chewing everything carefully). After that you feel so happy, empty and clean and you are ready to change your eating habits for better. The simplest food tastes as if tasted for the first time - a sliced carrot, steamed, with just a little butter and a potato - what a treat! So simple and so rewarding.

I am a firm believer that whatever I truly love, loves me back. Among the things that I love most.... FOOD :) :) :) :) :) :)...................... I think that food is AWESOME !!!!! Every single bite that I eat is pure heaven to my body, mind and spirit. If anyone has ever seen Snoopy when it's his "supper time" then you'll understand how I feel :) :) I find it sad that so many people deny themselves the full pleasure of eating for countless reasons, instead of allowing themselves the gift of enjoying every single morsel. I was once one of those people until I decided to be generous to me by allowing instead of denying myself all the wonderfully delicious, delectible food we have available. I'm happy, my body is too!!! THREE CHEERS FOR ALL FOOD !!!!! YUMMM.....

I like all good tasting foods.:)

One really wonderful taste is fresh organically-grown green beans from a local health-food store. The complexity and depth of the taste was almost indescribable....I tell people it is even nore pleasureable than the best imported gourmet chocolate! Really! Then there are locally-grown dry-farmed organic tomatoes......a symphony for your mouth! The taste is the real essence of tomatoes....... You can tell that these foods had been grown with love and skill, and had been given what they needed. mmmmmmmm

The cramping, almost painful sensation of biting into a super-tart Granny Smith apple. There's also a different quality to the tatse of an apple eaten out of doors rather than indoors...something in the fresh air, methinks. Peace & All Good,

I went with friends to dig potatoes at a potato farm, came home, and then scrubbed a "big baker". That was my lunch......a big, baked potato with butter, salt & pepper. It was so fresh from the earth and it tasted right up there with fine dining.

The taste of fresh baked Italian bread that my Dad and I used to go to the bakery daily for while visiting my aunt in Italy. Nothing like fresh Italian break baked with love.

I love the taste of the Aloe plant. I break off a leaf and chew on it for hours. Not only is it refreshing, but it has healing powers as well. Such a juicy, tasty plant! The honey tree! Ah the sweet gifts of mother earth!

About 10 years ago, I was able to hike through the Grand Canyon with a group from my workplace, funded by a Grant. We were able to spend 2 days offtrail, hiking through wilderness. Our water bottles ran low, and the creek we depended on to refill from was gone, dried up in the early Spring drought. That evening, we camped in a side canyon with a small trickle of potable water. Never, never has water tasted sweeter. Nectar of life.

The taste of warm, homemade bread, spread with butter and topped with farmhouse cheddar; a crunchy apple and a glass of dry cider - just thinking about this makes my mouth water.
- RS, Lincolnshire, England   16 Oct 2004

my first taste of fresh, juicy mango, a superb piece of semisweet chocolate, the red raspberries I used to cultivate, my first sip of good Italian wine, fresh baked bread dipped in good olive oil...yum!
