The Lord is so good. I've been going thru a difficult time with health problems and this site is exactly what I needed today. I am so grateful to have found it. I know there are no accidents and that I was guided here by my Higher Power. I live my life in gratefulness and simplicity but there are times we all lose our way for a while and then somehow find our way back. My life is a miracle and no one should ever take that for granted. A surgeon once told me that she sees G-d and the miracle of our creation each and every time she operates on someone. Thank you again for this wonderful site.

I accept the things that I cannot change in my life. And make sure I change wisdomly those that I can, that makes my life very easier and much more simpler. I make sure that I enjoy every moment of my life and not stressing with anything out there. I never dwell on the past, I always focus on the present and future.

Today I got rejected from a job that I really wanted and for which I would have been a perfect fit - in my opinion. It must be the seventh or eight rejection in recent weeks. Yet I already have a job - with health insurance, one that I am very good at, one that allows me time with my children as they grow. The fact that I feel undervalued and miserable in my current job shouldn't mean that the blessings I do have are irrelevant. The are more important to me than anything - my children, my health (and their's) my own home, my independence, my freedom from debt (no great wealth either!), my intelligence - I have much to be thankful for. I shall focus on that and keep looking instead of throwing myself a pity party.

Today I will ask a friend if I can get a lift with her after school. She lives in the same street as I do but she drives with her own car to school and I drive with my own car. How silly is that? Today I will make this one step towards living simpler.

I refused to take part in gossips and spreading rumors. Thou I felt kind of singled out but I did not take part in this dangerous game of ego.

It is so much easier to live simply now that I am retired from my job. I think so many Americans anyway are overwhelmed with their jobs and family responsibilities. When you are exhausted it is hard to be present. Taking gentle care of yourself is the first step to healing. It doesn't have to mean massages and expensive spas. It can mean just making sure you have some quiet time every day in which to be in silent awareness of God's love and feel your own beautiful true nature. What a blessing!

Driving less and walking more helps simplify life. This includes not driving to as many places as I used to, and also combining trips for e ficiency. I'm fortunate to live in a town where I can walk to many places I need to go. When we walk, we notice birds and other animals, the trees, shrubs and flowers and have serendipitous interactions with people. These are all aspects of life that stimulate thankfulness.

Yesterday, I was told that cancer may have returned to a friend of ours. I pray that God will give this man another chance to see his children graduated from college. I am very grateful for my health, my husbands health, and my childrens health. I am grateful for our home, our closeness we have with each other and for our fincances to care for our family and to give to others. Thank You, so much. I love you God for having faith in me to be here on this planet. Peace and Love, Jeanette

I've just returned to work after a two week holiday, most of which was spent at home quietly, sitting in my garden enjoying the sunshine, birds and plants. For four days we went camping in Devon, borrowing my daughter's tent, living so simply it was precious. Having breakfast outdoors looking at the view from the hillside down over the bay, walking barefoot on the grass, going for long walks along the coastal paths, scrambling over rocks, through the woods. I didn't cook a single meal, there was no television, no computer, no double glazed windows to cut us off from the outdoors. Perfect peace.
