Religious
Harmony
One of the most reliable routes to world peace is for people
to share their sacred experiences without getting snarled in
religious divisions. Each religion has a unique bouquet of
love, harmony, and beauty. Taken all together, these varied
bouquets bring a powerful healing fragrance to our world. Here
is your place to offer to others encounters with the Divine
nearest to your heart.

As a nurse, I have encountered the Divine in the most common and most unlikely places, in chaos and in calm... I have seen the Divine in the faces of all races, colors, creeds and religions... one of the most memorable experiences occured many years ago... holding the hand of a patient while he passed, his body quivered, the pink of life faded to pale and peace setteled over his face and the silence of the absence of breath overtook the room... the very same week, I watch an infant enter the world... the silence of the absence of breath was broken by a cry of life, the infants body quivered and began to turn from pale to pink... It was then that I knew I had seen the light of God entering and exiting the vessel we call self...

The moment I was holding my first grandchild, while his mother rested in the adjoining room, and I thought this is my heart...such peace.

at the benedictine monastery. total silence. a room full of strangers...none of us communicating verbally but yet such unity, such a sense of community. i don't have to 'do'...i can just 'be'. tremendous peace knowing that. i am grateful to be at this place in my journey

Reconnecting this week with my memories of 1995 and my speaking and leading workshops on the Insights of the Celestine Prophecy. My using those principles to write my mission statement and looking back to my mothers mission and the "Why" in my life. Time to rewrite my "Why" and my mission statement. How grateful I am to have found this web site and the opportunity to share.

Once at Christmas time I was doing a vipassana retreat in Washington State, USA. I remember going outside at and watching the Milky Way stretched out across the sky and the crescent moon, a deep orange, setting below the horizon. Coyotes cried in the distance. My mind was as clear as a mountain lake and as sharp as a razor.

Holding my baby, her arms around me, her head on my shoulder... our hearts touching and feeling our whole bodies relax at the same time. This is peace.

This moment. just sitting here in my house... traffic passing by... rain against the window....
This moment . A tall Amarylis about to burst into flower...a cat...gliding into the room... coming towards me for affection..warm.. and wet...

The water, always the water. I swim out alone in the late afternoon. I want to lose myself in the flickering movement of light that fans out and dances across the surface. I float, and the water nudges me in soft waves, and I feel as if I will rise up out of my physical self, and I am so at peace with creation, and I am so in awe. I am so grateful.
