Water is life giving to us. If we misuse it- waste it - or are selfish with it, we will die.
It is our source of life- a treasure.

dear water carers. we had drought here for a long time and are now very grateful whenever a few drop of rain turn up. I didn't see any posts mention Dr Emoto. If you haven't seen his gorgeous photos of frozen water crystals put his name into google and remember to be grateful for the water in you.
love to all

Thanks to wicked neighbours who broke into our home and destroyed much, also the toilet-waterpipe, we became used to keep used water for reuse as toilet flush water eg from the washing machine or from the bath tub and so on.

This is my 5th year living in rural Sicily. This year I am living a miracle. We have water in our well. I can hear it bubbling in. I can see it glimmer from the top. This time last year, and the 3 years previous, we were desperate. It did not rain over winter. Last winter it did, we stood and prayed it wouldn't stop. It is wonderful. We have not lost any trees this year. I am aware it might not rain this winter... but I am grateful for this moment.

We are currently suffering from a long drought, no rain for over 100 days. Our water supply is in danger and we are under strick useage rations. What use to be green, now is yellow. My hope is that people around here will realize the seriousness of protecting and conserving our water and sources. I pray for rain, but most of all I pray that I never take water for granted. I hope others feel the same way around these parts!

Our family is working at using less water for our basic needs. Water in the high desert is hard to come by and we are becoming more aware of that fact daily. God gave us the blessing of water, but to be used with common sense.

In reading those messages I understand in which plentiful country I'm living. Plenty - often too much for my taste - of water and this of very good conditions. Seas with drinking water quality. What a treasure to care for! And we only need to receive it, not to destroy. My hope is (in first place for me) to be aware of it. The first and most important step.

It's amazing how people don't realize how valuable water is. 'Cause when it's gone... it's gone. The world will just die. Water is truly "liquid gold".

last year we started a small community garden and called it faith community garden. the harvest far exceeded out imaginings...as people came to the garden to plant, to learn, to listen, to sit, to share, to heal and to harvest. faith garden became a garden of gratitude. a small child planted a circle of sunflowers by which we placed a sittingbench.
this year there will be 4 community gardens in our small rural community. i believe that others will be as surprised as i was when they encounter the blessed abundance of the land that nourishes our souls as well as our minds and bodies. blessed be!

i do not know how to write great things.Growing up in kerala(also known as "God's own land") with plenty of greenery around and water .Here rain can come at any time of the year. I have always hated the rains which used to make our clothes wet.But from now on i promise to be grateful to every drop of water , there must be millions waiting for them.

For many years I've been concerned about the wastefulness of the wnton use of water in the USA, I have a well and I guard my acres from all poisons. Other say use as much as you want, but I am careful of my water use mindful that we all share one water whether we pay taxes or not. Future generations need water, so do not let the tap run when you brush your teeth and think before you use this most precious gift.

Last year it didn't rain where I live for seven months. We have a 30m well on our land that miraculously gave us water until winter came. Water for our animals, to keep our vegetable patch alive, to flush the loo once a day, to rinse our teeth after brushing, but not for the washing machine or the bath, and how sad to watch the trees die. People who came to stay watched me wash the dishes with only a damp sponge, rinsing as little as was needed after. I know the difficulty they would have adapting to this style of life, but let me tell you about the one day it rained:

in gratefulness, i offer a quote from gaston bachelard's profound book, water and dreams: an essay on the imagination of matter.
"happy is he who is awakened by the cool song of the stream, by a real voice of living nature. each new day has for him the dynamic quality of birth. at dawn, the song of the brook is a song of youth, advice for youthfulness. who will give us back a natural awakening, an awakening in nature?"
~gaston bachelard (from water and dreams: an essay on the imagination of matter)
may we cultivate compassion for the earth, and for all beings

The water in Massachusetts and New Hampshire has been severely damaged with chemecals etc.How-ever thank God we still have mineral wells where they were once privately owned are now made public and kept as is.Tree's are also a great asset to mother earth, they give off oxygen for us to breath, also inhale our toxins that our bodies can breath better and cleaner air, plant a tree save many children and animals.Animals in the wild help keep down a lot of diseases by eating any flying insects that carry and infect other people,or bugs on the ground that eat and destroy our veggie gardens or even our flowers, which they too have a purpose on mother earth. This always was God's green earth and all thats left is high ways and concrete in it's place and stackable homes.
Sad but true.God Bless Mother Earth............Peace

~ I offer this prayer from Thich Nhat Hanh, the Vietnamese Buddhist monk:
Water flows from high in the mountains
Water runs deep in the earth
Miraculously, water comes to us
And sustains all life...
