Caring for Children

Children make us grateful in an endless variety of ways. They bring surprising responses to each new turn of life and fill us with wonderment. But when they challenge us with their emerging independence, their painful uncertainties, and their disappointments if things don't go their way, what happens to gratefulness? This message board allows you to trade with others your joys and your challenges in caring for children.

I am new to this but I just wanted to say that having a child is the most wonderful, life changing experience. My son is with his father for the week to visit family, I couldnt go because I was too busy, and I am missing him so much. I have never been away from him for that long. Well I hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Please light a candle for the presidential candidates. The United States needs a leader who has the wisdom to understand and guide our educational system to a place where "the whole child" receives our love and care. Where we first can address a child's "pain" in order to prepare them to pursue their academic pursuits. Group: Presi

Hello, I am a youth counsellor in a low socio-economic area, and I see at least one young woman about unplanned pregnancy every fortnight. They are usually agonising over whether they can keep the baby, as many are on low income and expect little support from the father. They get conflicting information from pregnancy "support" services and medical professionals, particularly about they emotional impact of having or not having a termination. I tell them my own personal story – I fell pregnant after being raped. After a long, intense soul search, I decided to keep my baby - which is a kin

Please join us in prayer as we wait for immigration and government authorities to deliberate whether they will grant our adopted son Natnael in Eritrea an exit visa so he can travel to meet/join his family. We need to be together. May the grace of God touch their hearts, illuminate their actions and deliver him home at last
