Childlike
Joy
Children are not the only ones who can be surprised by joy.
The oldest of us have moments of liberation when we see with
fresh eyes. Here is a place for you to share with others your
delight in childlike vision and your response to children's
art.

Yes, the INNER CHILD CONCEPT is healing. I have been redirected to it by reading Antoine de Saint Exupéry´s wonderful book "THE LITTLE PRINCE". There is all the essential wisdom in it that one needs for a happy life. There is also an online version available. Enjoy!

I am enjoying these messages that take me back to childhood, the sandbox Dad made inside a giant tractor tire, and climbing the quince tree to discover that our cat had pushed out some baby robins (we found them on the ground, alive, and put them back) in order to sit in their nest, an old bleach bottle with the sides cut out. The precious discoveries of childhood!

Thank you God for my children who remind me to laugh from the belly. Thank you, too, for the pleasure of hearing their giggles.

When I was young my mother and i lived in new york city. When there was a deep snow, the traffic would stop on fifth Ave. We would put on our city boots and wrap layers of newspaper over the tops and up to mid thigh and go out into the street. We walked to the zoo in Central Park. The whole world was white and whole, the animals were outside and the bars were barely visible. It felt like we were all free outside enjoying the snow together. One time we heard a voice say "who are you?' We looked around and in a window right in front of us was the questioner-a white cockatoo. On the way home we enjoyed seeing the magnificent huge snow sculptures of naked ladies and lions being created by teams of college students.
when we go home we would have hot cocoa.

And right when I was feeling oh so lonely and missing the days when as a little girl, it was oh so easy to make new friends on the beach and build sandcastles to jump over as the tide came in, I received your message
Thankyou a million times...

I plant pine trees in my backyard and I live in a desert.
Everyone marvels at how they each go into the soil at about two foot tall, and suddenly with love, musik that I actually play for them on their watering days...they are reaching for the heavens, the sky, the sun, and the moonlight.
People stop by and ask to see them and are simply amazed.
I marvel at how our houseplants silently move when we are not hearing them or unaware of their movement.
I rotate mine every Friday when watering them and they have moved in the silence...each striving towards the sunlight.
Reading the post just before this one is what made me aware of these treasure again this night.
And playing in a sandbox...I am fully grown and middle aged, but I take my friends in my mind and just simply play and laugh together in our sandbox.
Our minds are not only capable of hearing the negative things about life, but in one instant we can transform our place by changing our thoughts.
Thank you to the lady from S

I was in the garden again today, digging to plant three young Jasmine plants I have propogated. Now there's a posh word, propogated, I didn't know what that meant when Grandma gave me a spoon to go dig with at the top of her garden, a strip where nothing was planted.
I loved Grandma's garden, it was huge to my eyes and secret, with hedging all around. In reality it is the usual British size.
While planting the Jasmine, I came across three huge worms. I hesitated for a moment, then I picked them up to put into my pots.
I can just imagine what Grandma would have said and the look on her face...!
I am so grateful I remembered that moment of childhood, before worms turned disgusting. I feel more me.

I am aliways so tired at the end of the day, but when my daughter hears a song she loves, she will grab me, "sing and dance with me mom," she will say. I am always reluctant but after we are dancing and laughing i feel so energized. Whenever i take a moment to see thoe world through my daughter's eyes, I smile and feel thankful for what we have!

I often play with my two dogs. I play as if I were a child. Talking to my dogs, telling them how much I love them. I believe my dogs have feelings and understand much of what I say. I know some people may think I am crazy but I keep my beliefs even though others may think they are childish. My dogs show me endless play, endless loyality, companionship. friendship. love, devotion. admiration, acceptance, warmth. I am thankful God created the dog. They bring out my inner child.
