Grateful Living
In the ground beneath an ant hill stretches a vast network of tunnels, teaming with ants. Our world is teaming with grateful people, and this website is merely a little ant hill sticking out into cyberspace. The ants work on their project in silence, but we have the gift of language. Let's use this to share the insights, questions, joys, or difficulties we encounter in our daily practice of gratitude. Thus, we will build our project: a Network for Grateful Living.

I am grateful for the knowledge that I can choose to respect my worth as a human being even while others are unable to see my worth. I can rely on my internal opinion of myself rather than what others think of me. I can know that I am a light, wherever I go, whether or not others recognize this. I can know that my angels are always there for me and know the truth of who I am and why I am here, even when the whole world seems blind to it.

I am grateful for this website that has reminded me of the life giving force available to us when we experience gratefulness for all of the everyday continuous gifts that we experience. I am grateful to Brother for his energy and kindness for which we are all blessed. I am grateful to God for the glorious life that he has bestowed upon me. I am SO grateful for my health, family, friends and abundance that I have in my life. I am grateful that I have eyes to see, ears to hear, skin to touch and a spirit to inspire. Love to all.

I am very grateful for the wonderful friends I have in my life who support me during the difficult times in my life, like the recent passing of my Dad. I am forever grateful for my older sister who has taken to heart the need to help my Mother with sorting through difficult tasks so that she can live independently without my Dad, but live well and comforably. I am grateful to simply be right now...able to work, drive, eat, drink..just grateful to be.

I am grateful that the Lord let me come back to him after a long dark time of being away, not knowing his loving work in my life. He has made himself real and has shown me tremedous mercy, love and grace when I finally acknowledged that my attempt to live life my way didn't work. I am learning that through dark times God works good for those who love him and there is something to be learned or a purpose to be served in all situations.

I am grateful for so much - healthy and wonderful daughters and grandchildren.who have awesome values and character, a job that some days I like and some, well.... I am grateful, every day, to have a loving, generous daughter who teaches me by example every day about hard work, courage and tenacity. She hired me to work in her company when -- at age 50 -- no one else would She believed in me enough to give me the opportunity to learn an entirely new industry (computer networking). I'm 60 now and have ten years of experience in a field that's kept me employed and learning something new every day. I have many other blessings but she is the brightest star in life.

After losing two sons tragically and suddenly in seperate years, I am thankful for the three adult children I have left living. I am very grateful for my two grandchildren whom I love more than life. I have several health issues but I am putting mind over matter and plan on living to see my granddaughter married in about 10 or 15 years. I know things happen for a reason but have not figured out why God would take such perfect sons away from me.

I am grateful for the health I still have at age 80, my friends, my family, my beloved pets, my eyesight that allows me, an avid reader all my life, to continue reading. My life has been hard with many failures, many disruptions, and most of them endured alone with little or no support. I have been emotionally and literally alone since I was seven, and still feel alone 73 years later. But, there is something that has watched over me. Though I cannot put a name to it I know it is beside me. For that, I am forever grateful. The quality I need most is forgiveness, and I struggle to attain it. With the help of my guardian, I will, some day.

Gratefulness has always kept me grounded and humbled...nothing and no one in my life right now would have been were it not for the unconditional love the Creator has embraced me with... I can only be as loving, as generous, as kind and as forgiving to be able to pay it forward, and to spread trust in the universal power of interconnected love. :)

I NEED PATIENCE TO DEAL WITH THE EVERYDAY STRESS OF LIFE AND PEOPLE. TO FIND TIME TO ACCEPT THAT ROME WASN'T BUILT IN A DAY... TO GIVE TIME TO OTHERS AND NOT EXPECT THEM TO COME TO THE SAME CONCLUSION AS MYSELF...I MUST BE PREPARED TO WAIT A LITTLE LONGER FOR MY VIEWS OF IDEAL, OR EVEN A LOT LONGER!...
