We are happy and honored to offer you, in partnership with Sounds True, the rare gift of joining us via live-streaming for our Pathways to Gratefulness summit on Saturday, June 23rd. The live-streaming is free of cost, and you can register here: live.soundstrue.com/celebrationgratitude/ Even if you have other plans on the 23rd, please sign up! The stream will remain available through this page until July 31, 2012. Br. David has said that if we were able to experience fundamental gratitude at all times, there would be no need to talk about it, and many of the contradictions that divide our world would at once be resolved. But in our present situation, talking about it helps us recognize spontaneously how much each moment of life matters. It gives us courage to let ourselves down into the depth which gratitude opens up. And celebrating gratitude with music and dance can do even more than talking to open our hearts! So we are thrilled to be able to offer a multifaceted event that explores how gratefulness influences: Personal Wellness Business and the Heart of Work International Perspectives Deep Ecology Fostering a Healthy Future and more… with a diverse group of world-renowned speakers -- including Br. David Steindl-Rast, OSB; poet David Whyte; cultural anthropologist Angeles Arrien; Physicist Fritjof Capra; Zen Buddhist Roshi Joan Halifax; Tao master Chungliang Al Huang; and entrepreneur Chip Conley -- who will share dialogue, ideas and inspiration. Harp, song, Taiko drumming, dance, and audience engagement will bring help bring these conversations even more alive. We welcome your help making this event available to our worldwide community through your generous donation of $25 or at whatever level you can afford. You will find the avenue for donating on the registration page: live.soundstrue.com/celebrationgratitude/ Of course, if you can join us in person on June 23rd at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco, all the better! VIP and regular tickets are still available, but we do not know how long they will last. So if you are interested, please register soon: pathways.gratefulness.org/ Br. David turns 86 in July, and it is our great joy to celebrate his life and his legacy with this extraordinary confluence of people, inspired thought, and the arts. Be with us, please, live or by live-stream! And feel free to share this message with your friends who can join us, too. With a deep bow of gratitude, Patricia and Margaret for your Gratefulness Team | |
