Saddened by news of recent shootings in N. Ireland, we prayerfully light candles on behalf of peace. As Dolores Kelly, a moderate Catholic politician, observed, “All of us have to get together to pull ourselves back from the brink. A tiny handful of people…cannot be allowed to destroy so much.” May this country’s fragile peace be not only sustained, but strengthened.
