World AIDS Day
December 1

This day was created by the United Nations to increase awareness of HIV/AIDS in the world. There are 14,000 new infections every day. In the United States, minorities account for approximately 65% of all HIV/AIDS infections.

Bristol-Myers Squibb has established a Light to Unite site where each time someone lights a candle, Bristol-Myers will donate $1 up to $100,000 to the National AIDS Fund. You can also learn more about AIDS in the United States, and make additional gifts directly to the National AIDS Fund through this website.
