Eid al-Adha
November 27 — November 30

This Muslim observance of "The Feast of Sacrifice" commemorates Abraham's response to the Lord's command: offering for sacrifice his son Ishmael (in Jewish and Christian texts, the son was Isaac).

Considered the most important feast of the Muslim calendar, Eid al-Adha marks the end of the pilgrimage to Mecca (Hajj), and is observed by Muslims worldwide, whether or not in pilgrimage in a given year. Customarily during this feast Muslims offer meat from animal sacrifice to those in need.
