Poetry of Gratefulness

DVDs and CDs
of the Benefit Reading
at the Herbst Theatre
San Francisco, CA
February 3, 2008

Those of you who were able to join us for the first annual "Poetry of Gratefulness" benefit know that poets Coleman Barks, Jane Hirschfield, Drew Dellinger, and Roger Housden plus musicians Annette Cantor, Adam Levine, and Geoffrey Gordon came together magically in a superb evening.  Emcee Dale Biron engaged Br. David Steindl-Rast and Roshi Joan Halifax beforehand in an interview which entranced the audience, and the evening closed with a passionate talk by global activist Lynne Twist.  The blend of rehearsed and improvisational elements was profoundly moving even for those of us who thought we knew what was going to happen.  A warm thank you to everyone who made this event such a great success!

Now you can relive this event or experience it for the first time, through a DVD or CD created by Conference Recording Services.

Here's a free sample to give you a taste of what's in store:
Br. David:  What's so important about gratefulness?
Annette Cantor:  Song and tanpura
Jane Hirshfield:  Ripeness
Drew Dellinger: The universe spills through our dreams
Roger Housden:  Never felt more convinced (Hafiz)
Coleman Barks:  What was said to the rose (Rumi)
Lynne Twist:  Two branches of gratitude
